Meyerland Area

About Meyerland Area

Meyerland is a great little neighborhood just outside Houston's 610 Loop on the southwest side. Located along Brays Bayou, this neighborhood is full of wonderful community parks and public greenspaces. The neighborhood also has a wonderful outdoor shopping district called Meyerland Plaza that has a variety of high end shopping. In recent years, professionals from the Texas Medical Center and the Uptown/Galleria area have flocked to this area for the affordable housing options, schools, and wonderful community. Most of the homes are 1 story, ranch-style homes that were built in the 50s and 60s. However, there has been a fair amount of new construction built in this area in recent years as well. This neighborhood combines easy access to the city with a great kid-friendly environment.
